about

these songs were recorded on october 29-30 2011. erik wanted you to know that “that would be a lot of cool” is an old song. an acoustic version of “somerset” will be on our full length record it’s still pretty terrible. special thanks to mark for letting us record in your basement again, the moving castle, keith sucks (pizza) & cathy latinen, everyone rad we’ve ever met on tour, joie de vivre (rip) & empire! empire! (i was a lonely estate) along with all the other amazing bands on cyls, brave bird, coping, alex “the big man in the sky” walters and you for being you.

lyrics

i wrote a record to highlight you in song and by the time i was done, it was fall. the trees had lost their leaves and looked like skeletons with piles on the ground from all their broken limbs. the twenty minute drive felt more like twenty-four. and i can’t shake the feeling of someset anymore. i stay up late to re-evaluate the meanings and see where i went wrong. pass the cemetary, get on the highway right by your house. it’s the dead things that haunt me and i just want to feel alive again.
